NAKBA 76: March + Rally

Join us in the streets of Portland on the anniversary of the Nakba in honor of 76 years of resistance and resilience in the face of Zionist settler colonialism and occupation.
We march together in unity, honoring those who have been and continue to be martyred, displaced, and exiled from their ancestral homelands of Palestine.
Let’s raise our voices as we fight for justice, liberation, and return.
ACCESS INFO:
😷 Masking - Please wear a KN94/N95 mask! We will have extras available. This keeps our bodies safer + those with heightened risk levels safer from surveillance.
🚗 Transportation - Lots of paid street parking available in the immediate vicinity. Unpaid street parking available farther away. Space is accessible via public transit. MAX Green, Blue and Red lines run through the Lloyd Center stop. Multiple bus lines (#17, #8 and #70) run in the Lloyd Center area.
🚶Mobility & Movement - A portion of the event will be stationary on paved surfaces and an ADA-accessible plaza and paved sidewalks. We will have limited chairs available for community needs, but you are welcome to bring your own seating.
The march will be 1.5 miles or less in one direction, it will not loop back to the start. We will be on paved surfaces and ADA-accessible streets. People can walk, roll, or ride at their own pace and move, stretch, stand, or sit as they need to during the event.
☀️ Weather - Event will be outdoors. Currently not forecasted to rain but that could change. Please come prepared to be outside for ~3 hours and wear sun protection.
🥨 Food - We will provide some light snacks and water. We aim to provide a variety of options (vegan, gluten free, kosher) and encourage folks to bring their own snacks as well.
🔊 Speakers + Noise - There will be a speaker system with options for people to be close or far from the speakers. This will be a loud event with amplified voices and chanting. Please consider bringing ear plugs.
🗣️ Translation - Some speakers may use languages such as Arabic or Hebrew phrases, which may not be translated. No ASL interpretation provided.
💡Visibility - Event will take place during daylight.
